tokyo illustrations
university project

This is a triptych of illustrations based on three neighbourhoods in Tokyo: Shinjuku, Shibuya and Harajuku. I included landmarks and visual elements from each neighbourhood in each illustration, with an overall colour palette connecting them. The illustrations then fit together to create one long piece, with Shibuya at the centre.

I developed the concept of using Japanese food like sushi and rice balls as the buildings and landmarks from each district to make the posters a little more playful and representative of the culture of Japan as well as the landmarks.
