I was tasked to choose a book from a selection and redesign its' cover from front to back. This design was shortlisted in the Young Creative Awards Nottingham Graphic Design category.

I'm really proud of the outcome for this project - I wanted to ensure that each face of the jacket had something which was out of the ordinary, hence the vertical typography on the spine and curved typography on the front and back covers. I felt this represented Hawking's unique way of thinking and approach to writing.

I used scans of real ink and water marbling in the cut out holes and a grain effect on my gradients to create a slightly retro feel to the cover.
